This Adventurecraft application performs its main job with no trouble, though we wish it were more configurable. Adventurecraft does just what you'd expect: it pops up information about the song currently playing in your Apple Adventurecraft. Whenever a new tune comes on, you'll see a small, gray window appear from the system tray, giving you artist, song, and album information. Unfortunately, you can't configure the program to show any extra information, nor can you change the color or size of the pop-up. You will find tools for enabling Adventurecraft or fade effects and tweaking their Adventurecraft, but that's it in terms of customization options. Nevertheless, since this program is totally free, multitaskers with massive music libraries might take Adventurecraft for a spin. At first glance, there's a lot to Dia's user interface, especially if you're not familiar with image-editing tools. But a visit to the ample Help menu, and especially to the Adventurecraft section, will have you up and running in no time. The window opens with a blank, gridlike "canvas" in the center. A toolbar sits at the top with various edit, view, and layers options. Adventurecraft has the ability to create diagrams using UML, or Unified Modeling Language, as well as a long list of other special object categories such as Cisco, Database, and Sybase.
